July 5th, 1998
Dear Diary,
Today was the day! July 5th, the Hanson concert. I’ve been waiting for this day for a month and it’s finally here. On our way to Atlanta we saw a car from NC that said “TO ATLANTA 4 HANSON.” It had pictures of them on this windows and stuff, it was coo. When we got to Atlanta, we drove past the Planet Hollywood restaurant and they had a sign that said, “Planet Hollywood WELCOMES HANSON” There were tons of girls lined up outside of the building. A lady at the hotel told us they were there at around 2:00. We walked over but they had left. Finally, after hours of waiting, we got on the train to go to Lakewood. When we got there, we had to take a shuttle to the Lakewood Amphitheatere. A bunch of girls on the bus had signs and had HANSON tshirts on. Finally, we were there. There were a million people there. This lady said that HANSON had a lot more people there than the Spice Girls when they were here. HaHa! (Earlier someone at the hotel told us that they had locked up the elevators because Hanson had to get to the rooms.) Anyway. First they had a warm-up band perform. They were called Admiral Twin from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Everybody started screaming when they said that. When they were finished, Hanson played! These girls had a sign that said “MOON US TAY!” First they played “Gimmie some lovin.” It was awsome. After they played “Where’s the love?” Tay said “Are you guys hot?” Every girl there screamed. Then he said, “Well we’re gonna make it hotter.” Of course, we screamed. He played “Thinking of you” Tay and Zac kept throwing water balloons in the crowd. They tried to take a sling shot to get us in the back, but Zac gave up. At the end they sang at Mayfest called “There ain’t no cure for the summertime blues” Then Tay put the microphone to the crowd so we could say it. It was so much fun. I wish I had a time machine so I could go back in time and do it again. It was fun. See you tomorrow!

oh the memories :’]
